Real Madrid travel to play Deportivo La Coruna this Saturday at the Riazor, the place where Madrid have not won a single match in the last 15 attempts.
Barcelona will be eager to see Real continue this losing streak at La Coruna's homeground as they seek to cut their 8-point deficit to Real this weekend but could see this widen to a 11-point gap before they play Almeria on Sunday, should Real prove determined enough to break this jinx.
Madrid have not won at the Riazor since a 3-0 victory there in November 1991. To add to that, they have lost all of their last 4 away matches.
Depor are only 2 points above relegation but have shown strong form of late, with only one defeat in the last 7 league outings, coming from behind to draw Valencia 2-2 at the Mestalla last time out and beating Sevilla 2-1 at home 2 weeks ago.
'We are confident we are going to win. It has been 17 years since Real Madrid won here and it will soon be 18,' said Depor striker Xisco.
Real are likely to be without Ruud van Nistelrooy again while Defender Sergio Ramos serves the second of his two-match suspension.
Barcelona's hard fought battle to cut their 9-point deficit to Real, to just 2 points 2 weeks ago proved all in vain as they lost consecutive matches to Atletico Madrid and Villareal.
They will have to do it all over again, without the injured Lionel Messi and with doubts over midfielders Toure and Deco.
Their opponents, Almeria are riding a crest of form at the moment, conceding only once in their last 5 home matches.
It remains to be seen which of these two top teams will be able to overcome their relatively poor form at the moment.

Dear Greg,
I've been a member since July 2003, maybe one of the first to join the Silver Circle.
2004 was a good year but I really enjoyed the long run we had in, I think, July 2005. It was exhilarating! 2006-2007 was not as exciting although still quite profitable and so far 2007-2008 looks quite good. I'm wondering if we're going to hit a long one again soon. Anyway, it's been a pleasure as always with your service, Greg. Armstrong and you are one of the few people I trust on the internet. You have made my retirement so much more fun and financially happy!
Best Wishes, Trent Wrayford, Sidney
