Real Madrid's Bernd Schuster has told his team not to take it too easy as they were against Real Betis last Saturday as they prepare for the Champions League clash with Roma this midweek.
He told Marca, “We can't compate the Betis game with Almeria where we had dominated. We didn't do the simple things right and we were punished for being too casual.”
“We cannot let this happen against Roma, we won't have an advantage here – we go into the game with nothing.”
“We are not in bad shape. It's just that we have too many injuries, I would have liked to be able to reply on [the injured players].”
Despite having a lenghty injury list, Schuster maintains confidence in Madrid's ability to go to Italy and win.
“I think it is a good time for us and it will be a difficult game but we are confident. It's a competition that has always been important for Real Madrid.”
However, Schuster sounded a word of caution: “It's not true that Roma are one of the weaker Italian sides. They are compact and they have a good defence. They have Totti as the lone striker but behind him, there are dangerous players like Mancini.”
“They work very hard and it will be difficult scoring against them in their own ground. It's always hard when Spanish teams play the Italians.”

Dear Greg,
I've been a member since July 2003, maybe one of the first to join the Silver Circle.
2004 was a good year but I really enjoyed the long run we had in, I think, July 2005. It was exhilarating! 2006-2007 was not as exciting although still quite profitable and so far 2007-2008 looks quite good. I'm wondering if we're going to hit a long one again soon. Anyway, it's been a pleasure as always with your service, Greg. Armstrong and you are one of the few people I trust on the internet. You have made my retirement so much more fun and financially happy!
Best Wishes, Trent Wrayford, Sidney
