Manchester United's industrious Park Ji Sung leaves no doubt that the defending Premiership champions will catch up with currently leading Arsenal in the race to end up top of the table this season.
Manchester United cut the deficit last weekend at Newcastle and Park, who should feature against Fulham this Saturday, thinks that there'll be more to come.
He told MUTV: "After the weekend, the gap is only three points at the top of the table and that's very important for us."
"And remember we have to play Arsenal at Old Trafford in April, so that means we can potentially take another three points off them. Everybody in the squad is determined to get to the top of the league as quickly as possible and I'm sure it will happen.”
"The league is close so it's possible we'll end the season on the same points as Arsenal. In that case, games like the one against Newcastle where we score four or five goals can certainly help us. I prefer not to think about that scenario though! We just want to win all our games and I'd rather finish comfortably ahead of Arsenal come the end of the season."
Park also warned that Chelsea are still on course in contention for top spot.
"I think Chelsea can also challenge," he said.
"They have real quality in their squad and lots of hunger to win. But our confidence is high at the moment and we just want to hurry up and get back on top. Everybody believes we can go all the way."
I've been a member since July 2003, maybe one of the first to join the Silver Circle. 2004 was a good year but I really enjoyed the long run we had in, I think, July 2005. It was exhilarating! 2006-2007 was not as exciting although still quite profitable and so far 2007-2008 looks quite good. I'm wondering if we're going to hit a long one again soon. Anyway, it's been a pleasure as always with your service, Greg. Armstrong and you are one of the few people I trust on the internet. You have made my retirement so much more fun and financially happy!
Best Wishes, Trent Wrayford, Sidney
