The Silver Circle Staking Strategy

We are committed to protecting your interests no matter how high our win-rates.

Members of the Silver Circle enjoy consistenly accurate strike rates over the long term with our picks.

As such, it is not necessary and rather unwise for our members to risk on large short-term gains.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that you stick to our betting strategy. It is simple and aggressive enough without being overly risky. Our objective is to build the size of your betting fund slowly but surely over the long term.

Mechanics

  1. Decide on a fixed sum of funds you have available for betting. This will be your Betting Fund. You might choose to set up an actual bank account for this.
  2. Divide your total Betting Fund into 100 units.
  3. Each Silver Circle Pick comes with a recommended stake from 1 to 5 units. Picks with recommended stakes of 5 units are those for which we think have the highest chance of winning. There will be no stakes recommended that are higher than this and hence you will not be betting anything more than 5 % of you betting bank on any one pick – protecting it from any possible adverse runs.
  4. When your wins accumulate and your Betting Fund reaches a total of 125 units or more, divide this total into 100 units again, to the nearest pound (or dollar). This will be your new Betting Fund with an increased size per unit.
  5. Do this whenever your Betting Fund reaches 125 units.

Example

  • Assume your initial Betting Fund is £1,000.
  • Divide your total Betting Fund into 100 units – 1 unit = £10
  • If, for example, after 10 bets, the total funds available for betting (including your wins) becomes £1,250 – this is equivalent to 125 units based on the initial £10 per unit.
  • Divide this £1,250 (your new Betting Bank) into 100 units.
  • The size of each of your betting unit is now £12.5. (You may choose to round this up to £12 or £13.)

Notes:

Should you decide to be less aggressive, you may choose to wait till your betting fund becomes more than 125 units before you increase the size of your betting units. For example, 130 units or 150 units.

Conversely, the reverse is true for this strategy in the unlikely event that you suffer losses. If your initial Betting Fund goes down to 75 units, divide the 75 by 100 and your smaller betting unit is now £7.50 as illustrated in the example above.

This staking strategy allows you to advance to higher bet sizes whilst protecting your betting fund from any adverse runs. We recommend you stick to it as best you can over the long term.

Commendation

Dear Greg,
I've been a member since July 2003, maybe one of the first to join the Silver Circle. 2004 was a good year but I really enjoyed the long run we had in, I think, July 2005. It was exhilarating! 2006-2007 was not as exciting although still quite profitable and so far 2007-2008 looks quite good. I'm wondering if we're going to hit a long one again soon. Anyway, it's been a pleasure as always with your service, Greg. Armstrong and you are one of the few people I trust on the internet. You have made my retirement so much more fun and financially happy!

Best Wishes, Trent Wrayford, Sidney
